Temporary Feel Good Suffolk Smoking Advisor – Mildenhall
Hourly rate: £25,119‑£26,514 (based on experience)
With the exciting news of national investment to create a Smoke Free Generation, we’re looking to appoint a stop smoking advisor to work with residents across West Suffolk to drive this change. As a Feel Good Suffolk Advisor specialising in smoking cessation, you’ll receive and process referrals, undertake initial triage, plan and facilitate the delivery of interventions, drop‑in’s and one‑to‑one support. You’ll be based across West Suffolk providing stop smoking support to adults by telephone, video call and face‑to‑face in community venues on a one‑to‑one and group basis.
37 hours per week

What you will need:
The post holder will have a strong understanding of health behaviours and experience of working with people to make positive changes to their lifestyle. The candidate will have experience of working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds with differing levels of needs and balancing casework. The candidate will be organised and able to work under pressure to tight timescales over a period of time and be a strong communicator with proven active listening skills. Individuals with smoking cessation backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- An NCSCT Smoking cessation (Level 1 or 2)
- Health or Community related Qualification
- Health Coaching Qualification
- Valid Driving Licence
