To facilitate the production of animal feed in a safe and timely manner that ensures quality standards, both set by ForFarmers and external verification bodies are met.
- Ensure safe operation of all production facilities.
- Produce SKUβs in line with prescribed quality standards and time frames as dictated by production plan, with due consideration to controlling operating costs.
- Deputise for Shift Technicians as required to support production.
- Operation of intake, weighbridge and warehouse management as required.
- Support the management of stock, counting and use.
- Assist in instances of emergency or incident.
- Support the hazard and accident reporting process.
- Support the complaints process, undertaking QC checks, investigations and plant/operational improvements as required.
- Work with Engineering colleagues to minimise breakdowns, outages, downtime and assist with PPM.
- Proactively support the PM and TM/SL to ensure plant efficiency, bottlenecks and improvements are ongoing.
- Undertake hygiene tasks required to ensure safe and compliant operation of site.
- Work within the Environmental Management system to ensure both internal and external standards are met.
- Assist in the training of colleagues as appropriate.
- Cover other roles within production and operations as staffing requirements demand.
- Undertake site improvement works as required, especially when linked to audit compliance.
- Support the control of pests across the site, and ensure that operations pay due consideration to minimising the impact posed by pests.
