HGV 1 Tanker Driver – Nights

Abbey Logistics – a leading UK and European food and non-food tanker distribution business, is seeking to recruit:

HGV 1 Tanker Driver

Location: Trafford Park

Shift: Monday – Friday nights (start time 16:00-17:00)

• Full-time permanent position
• Tanker experience preferred but not essential
• Food tanker oils (none ADR)
• 10-hour guarantee per shift
• Salary: £15.26 for the first 20 weeks, then £16.26 thereafter
• £1000 loyalty bonus after 12 months

Role: Safely and efficiently deliver customer products using bulk liquid tankers across the UK and into Europe if required.

Key duties include:

• Loading and unloading liquids following safety and environmental procedures
• Transporting bulk liquids to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries
• Performing daily vehicle checks for roadworthiness and compliance
• Working at heights
• Operating pumps and hoses safely during loading/unloading
• Completing paperwork accurately and on time

Experience requirements:

• Hold a valid LGV C+E (Class 1) license for at least 2 years (no more than 6 penalty points)
• Tank experience preferred but not essential
• Valid and up-to-date DCPC Card
