The role of an Abbey Logistics HGV 1 Driver is to safely and efficiently deliver customer products using liquid tanks throughout the UK and into Europe if required. Duties will include:
- Loading and unloading of Liquid Tanks
- Food products
- Keeping your vehicle in clean condition
- Working at heights
- Using your digital hand-held device to record all circle checks and deliveries
- Following company procedures in accordance with strict industry guidelines
- Involves connecting and disconnecting hoses for loading and unloading.
- Requires climbing onto tanks to check hatches and seals.
- Manual handling of equipment such as couplings, valves, and hoses.
What We’re Looking For:
- HGV 1 Licence for a minimum of 12 months– Max 6 penalty points
- Valid DCPC Card
- Tanker Experience Preferred but not Essential
- Can safely operate within a fall arrest system of up to 140kgs
