The Role:
The Role of an Abbey Logistics Class 1 Tanker Driver is to safely and efficiently deliver customer products using bulk liquid / powder tankers throughout the UK.
- Monday – Friday Tramping
- Collection & Delivery of product in liquid tankers to and from customer locations
- Keeping your vehicle in clean condition
- Working at heights
- Using your digital hand-held device to record all checks and deliveries
- Following company procedures in accordance with strict industry guidelines
Involves:
- Connecting and disconnecting hoses for loading and unloading.
- Climbing onto tanks to check hatches and seals.
- Manual handling of equipment such as couplings, valves, and hoses.
What We’re Looking For:
- HGV 1 Licence for a minimum of 12 months– Max 6 penalty points
- Valid DCPC Card
- Tanker Experience Preferred but not Essential (Full tank training given)
- Can safely operate within a fall arrest system of up to 140kgs
