# Laundry AssistantFrom £12.29 per hour Scraptoft, LE5 Full timeOpen until 15 November 2026## About this role### Date posted: 16 September 2026Pay: £12.71 per hour### Job Description### We are not offering Sponsorship or Visa### Job PurposeTo provide a laundry service that ensures service users personal items are well cared for and that maintains an adequate supply of all other items.### Knowledge,Skills, Abilities & QualificationsPrevious experience in a similar role within a Care Home environment preferred.### Principal ResponsibilitiesTo launder all items of service users personal clothing in accordance with the garment washing instructions### To launder all items of bed linenTo launder infected or soiled items in accordance with the homes policyTo identify any items in need of repair and undertake as appropriate### To Ensure the laundry area is kept clean and tidyTo monitor the use of washing materials and ensure adequate stock is maintained### To iron clothing and linenTo report any problems with the washing machines/dryers to the person in charge at the timeTo carry out all duties in accordance with the homes policies and procedures### To attend training mandatory and in house### To understand COSSH regulations### To promote the home### Abide and understand policies and procedures### Respect confidentiality as per policy### Health and SafetyBe conversant with and ensure all staff are aware of the requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and of their compliance.
