Abbey Electrical is growing — and we’re looking for a driven, commercially minded Electrical Contracts Manager who wants more than just a job. If you’re a fully qualified electrician and experienced Contracts or Project Manager with strong leadership skills, commercial awareness and a hunger to grow something meaningful, this role gives you the platform to do exactly that.

The Opportunity
Reporting to Operations Director, you will take full responsibility for managing multiple projects from enquiry through to handover, while also playing a key role in business development and departmental growth. This is not just project management — this is leadership.
You will:
- Manage projects from order through to completion
- Help Business Development Team identify and win new business opportunities
- Oversee works across high-end domestic, commercial and industrial sectors
- Expand, recruit and manage your own team of electricians and subcontractors
- Develop engineers, carry out appraisals and support their progression
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards
- Maintain full responsibility for health & safety compliance
- Produce RAMS and associated documentation
- Manage costs, margins and monthly financial targets
- Liaise professionally with clients and attend meetings as required
You will have the autonomy to make decisions — and the responsibility to drive results.
What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified Electrician
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership
- Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding
- Ability to work under pressure and hit monthly targets
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
- Willing to travel to sites (typically within 1-1.5 hours)
