We are seeking to appoint a qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 3 who will contribute to the continued growth of this caring, popular primary school and be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored lessons and interventions to pupils with SEND, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), under the direction of the class teacher
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals (e.g., therapists) to deliver specialist interventions
  • Support pupils during transitions between the enhanced learning provision and mainstream classrooms, helping them engage confidently with lessons
  • Apply specialist strategies to help pupils regulate emotions, manage behaviour and remain engaged, including pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
  • Track, record and report on pupil progress towards EHCP targets and academic goals
