This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a leading biotech company with branches in Cambridge (UK), Houston (US) and Leiden (NL), providing products and services globally.

We are looking for a tenacious, competent and organized individual to join our high-paced, dynamic Team in Bar Hill. You will be employed as our HR and Office Administrator, responsible for providing general support to our team in connection with delivering human resources assistance as well as assisting in the recruitment process and general office administration.

As our HR and Office Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and suggesting improvements for the "HR" and "Training" sections of our internal system, ensuring they are up to date
  • Reviewing, amending and creating internal policies, risk assessments and SOPs as required in line with UK employment law and best practice
  • Creating or updating new job descriptions as required
  • Booking and conducting interviews and employee HR meetings
  • Issuing employment contracts / offers
  • Updating databases with new starters and leavers, and keeping employee details up to date (including data, meetings and training records)
  • Managing onboarding process, induction and exit interviews
  • Recording any leave taken by employees accurately
  • Supporting managers and team members and get involved in ad-hoc projects as required
  • Creating travel itineraries for business executives, employees and company events
  • Welcoming and directing visitors
  • Planning and coordinating meetings, appointments and company events
  • Responding to general enquiries via phone and email
  • Managing office supplies
  • Assisting procurement team with research, purchasing and payments as required
  • Suggesting automation and/or improvements for front and back end processes and functionality

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in an administrative position
  • IT literate
