Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Estate Operative to help maintain a high standard across a residential development in Poplar, East London. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the estate remains clean, safe, and well-presented at all times, while delivering excellent customer service to residents and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the site. This is a hands-on role involving estate upkeep, waste management, cleaning duties, and general site support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all bin stores are kept clean and tidy on a daily basis
  • Disinfect bin stores weekly, including jet washing four times per year
  • Move bins for scheduled collections and return them after collection
  • Break down and dispose of bulk waste where appropriate
  • Sweep and maintain cycle stores on a weekly basis
  • Sweep and clear car parks weekly
  • Keep courtyards and communal areas clean and presentable
  • Carry out litter picking across the estate
  • Empty litter bins regularly
  • Sweep leaves and debris from all external areas
  • Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the estate
