Multi-Trade Plumber

Hours: 8am - 5pm (1 hr unpaid lunch)
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Trade Plumber to join a busy residential estate in Battersea, South West London.
This is a varied hands-on role where you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across the development. Plumbing will be a key part of the position, alongside general multi-trade duties including carpentry, basic locksmith work, roofing, guttering, drainage, decoration and general building maintenance.
You will work closely with the wider facilities and estate team to ensure the development remains safe, secure and maintained to a high standard for residents, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive plumbing and general maintenance works across the development
- Complete regular plumbing inspections and identify any issues requiring further attention
- Investigate and resolve leaks and carry out general plumbing repairs
- Undertake water tank cleaning and other plumbing maintenance as required
- Complete carpentry repairs to doors, windows and other areas
- Carry out basic locksmith works, including repairs and adjustments to locks and door closers
- Undertake roofing, guttering and drainage repairs and maintenance
- Complete small-scale decoration and flooring works
- Carry out regular security and Health & Safety inspections, reporting any defects or hazards
- Install signage and assist with general estate upkeep
- Support with bin collection and ensure bin stores and surrounding areas are clean and well maintained
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any defects or replacement requirements
- Accurately record completed works, time logs and maintenance reports using the company's mobile app
- Identify additional maintenance requirements and provide quotes where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with estate managers, facilities staff, contractors and other maintenance teams
- Drive safely between locations when required and have a strong knowledge of London
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures
- Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Multi-Trade, Maintenance or Plumber role
- Strong plumbing experience and practical knowledge of general building maintenance
- Experience carrying out reactive and planned maintenance
- Good knowledge of materials, tools and methods used for internal and external repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and legislation
- Full UK driving licence and confidence driving across London
- CSCS card desirable, although training may be available
- IOSH qualification desirable
