In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and drive organizational success. You will act as a strategic partner to managers within the Electrification Service teams in the United Kingdom and Ireland, offering HR expertise and guidance across a range of processes. You will collaborate closely with the ELSE Cluster Manager for North Europe to align business goals with HR priorities and ensure their effective execution, while building strong relationships with business leaders and employees across the organization.

The work model for the role is: hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a trusted HR partner to the Service unit, supporting managers and employees in daily operations and HR-related decisions — primarily for the team based in the United Kingdom and Ireland with partial support to the North Europe Cluster Manager.
  • Coordinating onboarding, introductory training, adaptation processes, and exit interviews.
  • Driving employee engagement, motivation, and participation in development programs in collaboration with line managers.
  • Contributing to the development of local HR strategies for service units in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
  • Ensuring data accuracy in Workday and collaborating with payroll, recruitment, and HR shared services.
  • Creating and maintaining internal HR policies, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Preparing HR reports, analyzing workforce data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participating in local and international HR projects, ensuring alignment with ABB policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience in an international environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor law and HR compliance, with a proven track record of advising and supporting leaders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Workday) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and people-focused approach, with a passion for development and organizational growth.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to operate confidently in a global business environment.
  • Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions processes is a strong plus.
  • A valid work permit for the EU or the UK is required.
