This Position reports to:
Local Industy Lead, Paper UK
Represents ABB as Home Based, Field Service Engineer in the North East of England on customer paper
manufacturing facilities.
• As part of the Northern Service Team provide 24/7 support on site for ABB QCS and DCS
equipment.
• After initial ABB product training, you will be responsible to deliver the Service Agreement to
scope, activities include Preventative and Corrective maintenance on ABB QCS/DCS equipment,
configuration, calibration, modification, cleaning, adjustment.
• Participate in a 1 week in 3 on Call Rota.
• Develop a strong working relationship with customer across production and engineering

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Provide High level field and in house technical support, including out of hours support.
- Fulfil Service Agreement obligations, demonstrated by the use of ABB ServicePro and other
- reporting tools.
- Provide application support and software troubleshooting to customers, on site and by remote
- dial in.
- Advises clients as to maintenance procedures, evolution, site planning, operational methods,
- process measurement and control.
- Flexibility to travel to sites anywhere in the UK for above activities in addition to primary areas of
- responsibility.
- Prepare and write technical reports for internal and external use.
- Promote sales of maintenance services and equipment, including spare parts, and advise Sales
- department of possible sales leads.
- Assists Sales and Account management with preparation of quotations.
- Commission equipment in the field as part of the project team.
