You will act as the technical lead for engineering designs, approving deliverables and ensuring excellence across projects. You will review and validate all documentation for safety, cybersecurity, quality and contractual compliance, lead the resolution of complex technical challenges, drive cost, schedule and quality targets, and partner with customers and the sales organisation to continuously improve robust technical solutions.
Responsibilities

- Lead the resolution of complex and unprecedented technical challenges, managing risks and identifying opportunities.
- Partner with customers and the Sales organisation to shape, deliver, and continuously improve robust technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership through peer reviews, design verification, and application of advanced engineering methods.
- Coach and guide engineering teams, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure engineering activities meet cost, schedule, and quality targets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, supply chain, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Electronic, or Engineering-related discipline.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in a senior technical, engineering, or technical leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering design, verification, safety, cybersecurity, and quality standards.
- Proven experience working with customers, Sales, and cross‑functional project teams.
- Ability to assess and manage technical risks, costs, and contractual requirements.
- Experience supporting proposals, technical presentations, and customer engagements.
- Strong leadership mindset with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence others.
- Proactive approach to innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Professional qualifications in project management such as PRINCE or equivalent.
- Strong experience in Gas analysers.
- Industrial knowledge of British legislation of emissions monitoring.
