This position reports to: ELSE Cluster Manager North Europe.

In this role, you will lead the Operations unit in Stockport, Manchester responsible for project management, production, testing, commissioning, and supporting Partial Discharge Monitoring equipment for our customers worldwide. You will be accountable for full P&L performance and for running day-to-day operations, ensuring delivery of superior customer experience through lean, faultless operational execution (Care, Customer, Cost, Cash). You will report to the Cluster Manager North Europe in our Electrification Services Division.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Creating, implementing and executing the local operations strategy aligned with the global service business strategy.
  • Full P&L (orders, revenues, profitability, cash) and delivering / exceeding annual targets.
  • Ensuring strong customer focus, urgency, and care, driving superior customer experience and retention.
  • Drive operational excellence and performance by identifying improvement opportunities, managing operational risks, monitoring KPIs, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, profitability, and business growth.
  • Owning and optimizing the end-to-end value chain from order intake to service delivery.
  • Balancing capacity with demand and workload, ensuring efficient resource planning and utilization.
  • Ensuring implementation and compliance of ABB quality standards and integrated quality management systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE, integrity, and all business standards; driving a strong safety culture.
  • Building, leading, and developing a high-performing organization with strong capabilities and competencies.
  • Fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability and collaboration, while continuously developing talent and building organizational capabilities.

Qualifications for the Role:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Manufacturing/Engineering or related field.
  • Proven (5+ yrs.) experience in (service or manufacturing) operations management with P&L responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and people skills with experience in building and developing teams.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong commercial understanding.
  • Experience in operational excellence, quality management, and process improvement.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
