This Position reports to: Marketing & Sales Manager
In this role you will have the opportunity to drive and implement marketing and sales activities for the Rail market segment in line with the agreed sales strategy. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously monitor segment performance.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Identify high-potential target segments and develop aligned local strategies in line with global product marketing, value proposition, and positioning.
- Own and deliver sales targets for the segment, including order intake, revenue growth, and product portfolio mix.
- Grow revenue through both existing and new distribution channels, including wholesalers, specialist distributors, and fixings partners.
- Develop and communicate compelling, segment-specific value propositions in collaboration with Product Management and Market Development teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights, sharing actionable intelligence to inform sales and marketing decisions.
- Build and manage strong relationships with key customers, strategic accounts, and internal stakeholders across sales, product, and business units.
- Drive sales execution through direct customer engagement, sales enablement, training, and knowledge sharing to maximise sales effectiveness.
- Provide technical leadership while ensuring quality, compliance, and adherence to ABB policies, HSE standards, and ethical practices.
Qualifications for the Role:
- Electrical background and experience. Ideally have an applicable engineering or electrical qualification relative to the target segments and audience.
- Knowledge and experience of dealing with electrical and mechanical consultants, M&E contractors in the targeted segments.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the industry or targeted market segments.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
- Ability to deliver technical and product presentations to potential clients.
- Possess knowledge of the marketplace and customers along with knowledge of electrical standards, product application and competitor’s offerings.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong IT proficiency (CRM Systems, Microsoft Office).
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
