About the Role
This position reports to the Marketing & Sales Manager. In this role, you will develop an effective sales strategy within the Industrial and OEM market scope, improve ABB’s market penetration and realise growth aspirations. Each day you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also lead, develop, and coach a team of Market Managers to achieve these targets through high performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to drive high performance, clear goal alignment, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver proactive sales execution, promote ELIP products, achieve sales targets, and ensure strong customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Provide technical expertise and product/application support, resolving issues in collaboration with Quality, Service, and Customer Service teams.
- Develop and implement local market strategies and annual business plans aligned with global product marketing priorities.
- Monitor market trends, analyse competitive insights, and recommend strategic actions to support long‑ and mid‑term business growth.
- Manage sales performance across key channels including OEMs, contractors, consultants, and industrial distributors, supporting joint activities with the LSO.
- Drive training and knowledge sharing through customer CPD sessions and ensure strong technical and sales capability across stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting and communication to the local management team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience in the industry or targeted market segments alongside proven people development experience.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
- Ability to deliver technical and product presentations to potential clients.
- Knowledge of the marketplace and customers along with electrical standards, product application and competitor’s offerings.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong IT proficiency (CRM Systems, Microsoft Office).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
