Your role and responsibilities
- We are seeking a Product Specialist with a strong technical background in the electrical industry to join our team, focusing on earthing and lightning protection systems.
- This role is ideal for candidates with experience as an electrician, installer, service technician, or sales professional, and who possess in-depth knowledge of electrical installation products and brands such as Helita, Furse, or similar of ABB’s.
- The work model for the role is: hybrid.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Monitoring and interpreting global standards for earthing and lightning protection.
- Analyzing market trends, customer requirements, and competitor offerings.
- Benchmarking competition and identifying product/service gaps.
- Collecting and analyzing market requirements to update product roadmaps.
- Supporting business case creation for new product development and enhancements.
- Assisting sales and marketing teams in launching and selling new products.
- Delivering technical training to internal teams and customers.
- Providing technical support and resolve product issues.
- Preparing price lists and customer quotations for review and approval.
- Contributing to marketing tools and communication materials.
- Proposing new product developments or enhancements to meet customer needs.
- Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Logistics to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications for the role
- Technical background in the electrical field (electrician, installer, service, or sales).
- In-depth knowledge of electrical installation products, especially earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Proven experience in the electrical industry, ideally with earthing and lightning protection applications.
- Experience in product management functions: market positioning, competitor benchmarking, product development, and customer support.
- Experience with product lifecycle management, market intelligence, and go-to-market strategy.
- Familiarity with Helita, Furse, or similar products.
- Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) concepts.
- Ability to deliver technical training and support to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to integrity, compliance, and sustainability.
- French language will be a big asset.
- Openness to frequent travel.
