This position reports to: Planning & Fulfillment Manager. As a Production Planner, you will generate detailed production schedules based on the production plan to maximize resource usage and meet established specifications and schedules. Each day you will feed information on production capacity issues and material availability, release manufacturing work orders, and support daily plant-level MRP to meet production requirements.

Your Role And Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules to maximize resources and meet specifications and delivery dates.
  • Release manufacturing work orders and execute daily plant-level MRP to meet production requirements.
  • Define operation sequences and lead times aligned to the master production schedule.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, identify root causes of deviations, and drive corrective actions.
  • Define and maintain inventory parameters in ERP; partner with Buyers to optimize supplier performance.
  • Align inbound material planning, call-offs, requisitions, and purchase orders with Operations and GBS.
  • Analyze excess, obsolete, and aging inventory and drive cross-functional optimization actions.
  • Perform planning & fulfillment analysis and provide regular performance reporting to business leaders.

Qualifications For The Role

  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, master production scheduling, inventory control, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, shop floor control and warehousing.
  • Experience using MRP / ERP systems.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to identify improvement and implement improvements to business processes.
  • IT literate with experience of Excel.
