This position reports to Local Industry Lead, Paper UK. You will represent ABB as a homeâbased, field service engineer in the North East of England on customer paper manufacturing facilities.
- Provide 24/7 onâsite support for ABB QCS and DCS equipment as part of the Northern Service Team.
- After initial ABB product training, deliver the Service Agreement scope, including preventative and corrective maintenance on ABB QCS/DCS equipment, configuration, calibration, modification, cleaning, and adjustment.
- Participate in a 1âweek onâcall rota.
- Develop a strong working relationship with the customer across production and engineering.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide highâlevel field and inâhouse technical support, including outâofâhours support.
- Fulfil Service Agreement obligations, demonstrated by the use of ABB ServicePro and other reporting tools.
- Provide application support and software troubleshooting to customers, on site and remotely.
- Advise clients on maintenance procedures, evolution, site planning, operational methods, process measurement, and control.
- Flexibility to travel to sites anywhere in the UK in addition to primary areas of responsibility.
- Prepare and write technical reports for internal and external use.
- Promote sales of maintenance services and equipment, including spare parts, and advise the Sales department of possible leads.
- Assist Sales and Account Management with preparation of quotations.
- Commission equipment in the field as part of the project team.
