This position reports to the UK and Ireland Water Sales Manager within ABB's Automation Division, Measurement and Analytics.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work model: remote based from South East England
- Drive market growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing business to secure longâterm, profitable sales.
- Develop and maintain sales and marketing strategies for target areas, products, and customers.
- Build strong client relationships through regular meetings, site visits, and presentations.
- Recommend and position ABB products and solutions to meet customer needs effectively.
- Deliver timely, customerâfocused proposals in collaboration with the proposals team.
- Lead highâvalue Framework Agreement opportunities from bid preparation to negotiation and rollout.
- Collaborate across ABB teams and divisions to maximise account potential and strengthen client partnerships.
- Act with integrity, following ABB's code of conduct and prioritising health and safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Degree, HND or HNC in Instrumentation, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Resultsâdriven and selfâmotivated, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build trust and effective relationships with clients.
- Good questioning and listening skills, with awareness of the commercial impact of technical decisions.
- Competent IT skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Sales or commercial experience, ideally involving negotiation or management of highâvalue agreements.
- Experience within a technical or instrumentation environment in the utility or process industries is desirable.
