Job Summary
The Commercial & Industrial Sales Specialist drives growth across a diverse portfolio of sectors within the built environment, focusing on applications beyond renewable energy and data centres. This role is responsible for expanding market share for medium-voltage switchgear and digital integration solutions, positioning these offerings as critical enablers of efficient, resilient, and future-ready infrastructure.
Owning the full sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification and customer engagement through to proposal development and order handover—the specialist delivers commercially sound, technically aligned solutions that support both customer outcomes and business strategy. The role emphasises building long-term partnerships, identifying untapped opportunities across commercial and industrial segments, and unlocking value in markets that are essential to everyday infrastructure and operations.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
- Work model: #remote with regular travel to customers
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Achieve volume, mix, and profitability targets for medium voltage switchgear and digital integration solutions.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships, understand customer needs, ensure a positive experience throughout the sales journey, and manage issue resolution.
- Sales Planning: Prepare and maintain sales plans and forecasts; monitor pipeline health and implement recovery actions when needed.
- Opportunity Development: Identify and develop new market opportunities across the commercial and industrial segments.
- Proposal & Offer Preparation: Effectively use switchgear configurators, pricing tools, and other sales/budget preparation systems to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive offers.
- Marketing & Value Proposition: Support marketing activities and communicate value propositions aligned with strategy.
- Administration & CRM: Manage sales processes, documentation, and CRM updates (Salesforce desired) support collection and order handover activities.
Qualifications for the Role
- HND in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of medium-voltage switchgear, digital integration, modular e-House solutions and SCADA.
- Proven experience managing the full sales cycle, ideally within the electrical infrastructure, utilities, or renewable energy sectors.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative solution-selling skills.
- Full UK driving licence, valid for use in the UK.
