This Position reports to:
PAEN Hub Sales Manager Northern Europe
Your role and responsibilities
Lead the Northern Europe Pricing function, including the following activities :
- Governance & Enablement : Create, communicate and maintain pricing guidelines, tools, processes and our web based content to support consistent, value driven decisions in our Local Divisions, to optimize business outcomes
- Collaboration :
- Local Divisions – Work closely with our Local Division Teams (including Sales, Controlling and Procurement & Logistics) in Hub Northern Europe (Sweden, Norway, UK, Finland, Denmark, Ireland and Azerbaijan) to identify and implement local Pricing Improvement initiatives and to support Local Divisions to balance orders against margins. Help preserve and maximize margins to keep our portfolio competitive. Work proactively and collaboratively with the Local Divisions to frame strategic pricing requests and manage RFQs via our Business Online tool.
- Hub – Work closely with key roles in the Hub Management to drive Pricing improvement, including design and implementation of key initiatives.
- Global Division – Work closely with the Global Division Pricing Team, acting as primary interface to Hub Northern Europe. Distil feedback from the Local Divisions and Hub to the Global Division, and disseminate information from the Global Division Pricing Team to the Hub and Local Divisions. Work proactively with other Hubs Pricing Managers to support shared learning, knowledge sharing and working on common activities.
- Pricing Management Team : Lead the Hub Pricing Management Team (these are not direct reports), representing the different Local Divisions and Functions to develop and implement the annual Pricing Strategy.
- Training : Train stakeholders in pricing concepts, and act as interface to get maximum value in Hub Northern Europe from Division led Training. Help drive culture change to promote value based pricing, acting as Pricing Champion.
- Competitive Intelligence : Act as primary point of contact for Hub Northern Europe for gathering Competitive Intelligence, including engagement in Competitive Intelligence / Price Benchmarking Studies. Communicate effectively internally, to ensure data is utilised.
- Frame Agreements, Fixed Discount Agreements & Pricelists : Manage these via the available Tools, including engagement in decision making on annual price increases, and effective and timely communication of outcomes.
- Performance Tracking : Define KPIs, monitor pricing effectiveness data and margins, and recommend adjustments to optimize outcomes.
- Tools : Champion effective implementation of Tools utilised by our Local Divisions e.g. PROS.
- Technology Board : Participates in the Technology Board within the Hub.
The location of this role : Ideally located within one of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, UK, Ireland or Finland, but flexible for the right candidate
Qualifications for the role
- Degree qualified in an appropriate subject
- Minimum 10 years work experience in a relevant area
- Experience with customer pain points
- Fluent English required. One more of Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish would be beneficial.
- Customer oriented with a strong external focus
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of the Energy Industries is preferable
- Knowledge of the portfolio is preferable (Automation, Electrical, Telecommunications or Digital)
