This position reports to: HUB Digital Sales Manager. ABB is accelerating its digital growth across Energy and Process Industries. We are now appointing a Digital Sales Lead for the United Kingdom to build, scale, and lead the commercial success of our digital portfolio — spanning industrial software, asset performance management (APM), Optimization, and advanced analytics.

This is a senior, high‑impact role with clear executive visibility. You will define the UK digital growth strategy, shape strategic customer engagements, and act as the commercial catalyst that turns ABB’s digital capability into measurable customer and business outcomes.

Your Mission

  • Own and drive digital sales growth in the UK Energy & Process Industries market
  • Build a credible, sustainable pipeline for digital and asset reliability solutions
  • Position ABB as a trusted digital transformation partner to strategic customers
  • Enable and mobilise the wider ABB sales organisation to sell digital at scale

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Growth & Strategy
    • Define and execute the UK digital sales strategy aligned with ABB’s global and HUB priorities
    • Act as the end‑to‑end commercial owner for ABB’s digital portfolio in the UK
    • Translate digital offerings into clear customer value, ROI, and business outcomes
    • Build multi‑year growth plans for priority customers and segments
  • Strategic Accounts & Complex Sales
    • Lead senior‑level customer engagements across operators, EPCs, and ecosystem partners
    • Drive strategic account planning and long‑term partnership development
    • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles involving software, services, and lifecycle value
    • Personally engage in selected high‑value pursuits to unlock anchor wins
  • Sales Enablement & Collaboration
    • Mobilise and enable Automation, Electrification, and account teams to sell digital
    • Act as the digital sales authority and coach within the local organisation
    • Collaborate closely with solution consultants, delivery teams, and global product units
    • Ensure disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM governance

Your Background

  • Senior experience in B2B solution sales within digital, software, asset performance, or automation
  • Proven track record of building pipeline and closing complex, consultative deals
  • Strong understanding of industrial, energy, or process environments
  • Comfortable engaging at C‑suite, engineering, and operations levels
  • Experience selling value, outcomes, and long‑term transformation — not just products
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: structured, driven, and comfortable creating momentum from ambiguity
