ABB is a global market leader dedicated to helping industries become leaner, cleaner and more sustainable. As a Service Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality technical support and service solutions across a broad portfolio, driving customer satisfaction and growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and solve problems in your own area of expertise via remote or on‑site service in any Service category.
- Act as a technical consultant on Service solutions for management and customers.
- Determine effective Service applications, equipment and methods to develop, market or manufacture new Service offerings cost‑effectively.
- Manage customer relationships and maintain regular contact with key customers.
- Identify new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.
- Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative.
- Report work done in a timely manner, follow up when needed and work to reduce cost and improve the quality of delivery of service and projects.
- Travel throughout the UK, overnight stays away from home will be required.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/D or relevant qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Switchgear Commissioning / Testing.
- Expertise within electrical protection commissioning.
- Extensive experience of SCADA applications, development and field support.
- Strong background in Low/Medium‑Voltage (LV/11kV/33kV) electrical distribution.
- Knowledge in MS Office, ABB PCM600 Software, Omicron Test Universe.
- Excellent understanding of the current H&S legislation.
- Demonstrate excellent customer focus & timekeeping skills.
- Mindset to innovate, take ownership, drive improvement.
- Full valid UK driving licence.
