UK Industrial Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, aligned with the division strategy. You will achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will be showcased through identifying and developing new sales opportunities. The work model for this role is: Hybrid, covering the Hampshire, Kent, South London, Sussex, Berkshire areas. This role contributes to the Electrification, Smart Buildings UK business. Main stakeholders include customers, sales, product marketing, and operations teams.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Meeting the annual area sales budget.
  • Creating and reviewing a business plan for the geographical area, including customer base, travel routes, and prospects, based on a 4-week rota.
  • Conducting high-quality visits to existing and potential customers.
  • Raising awareness and profile of the ABB Brand for Electrification in the region.

Qualifications for the role

  • Electrical background with strong sales experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Significant product knowledge of industrial-biased products such as Power Breakers, Controlgear, Switchgear, Line Protection, Enclosures, Metering, Safety.
  • Collaborative approach, able to work independently and within a team.
