Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and updating technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. The candidate will be on a PM shift working Monday to Thursday (2pm-10:15pm) and Friday (12pm-6pm). This will be a standard shift pattern; however, the successful candidate will be open to shift rotation when required by the business. The work model for the role is: Onsite. This role contributes to the Electrification Installation Products Division at our Coleshill Site. Main stakeholders are Engineering, Production, and Quality departments. Main responsibilities include: defining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, solving major technical issues, proposing process improvements, and responding to emergencies to minimize production disruptions.
Qualifications for the role
- Time served/Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of maintenance activities with CMMS systems and data analysis to improve results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings for manufacturing and machine improvements.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Manufacturing background, ideally in conduit production machinery.
- Machining experience using tooling such as lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, welding.
- Understanding of conduit system products.
