The Role: Are you a high-caliber finance professional ready to drive the fiscal integrity of the world's most innovative racing series? We are looking for a Senior Financial Accounting Manager to join the Formula E team. This isn't just a reporting role; it is a technical leadership position at the heart of a global sporting revolution, ensuring our financial foundation is as high-performance as the cars on the track. Reporting directly to the Accounting & Tax Director, you will serve as their primary strategic partner and 'right hand.' As we accelerate toward the Gen4 era, you will navigate the complexities of international finance, ensuring our 'race-to-road' mission is backed by world-class accounting standards and a seamless global tax footprint.

  • Global Tax & Compliance Command: You are the architect of our international tax strategy. From preparing and reconciling local indirect taxes to spearheading tax registrations in various countries worldwide, you ensure Formula E remains agile and compliant as we expand into new territories. You manage everything from broad corporate frameworks to specific yearly filings, ensuring every detail is executed with precision.
  • Audit Leadership & Financial Oversight: You lead the 'ground game' for our most critical financial milestones. As the lead coordinator for the annual audit process, you collaborate across departments to deliver a flawless audit, providing the expert counsel and meticulous documentation required to protect the organisation's integrity. You don't just follow processes; you optimise them, ensuring the Director has total confidence in every figure.
  • Team Mentorship & Operational Excellence: You are a proactive force within the finance department. Beyond your technical remit, you provide essential guidance and support to team members, particularly during handover periods or ad-hoc projects. Whether navigating complex workflows in Workday or streamlining data in OneStream, you ensure the department operates with the same efficiency as a world-class pit crew.

What we're looking for in you:

  • The Technical Specialist: You possess 5+ years of progressive experience in high-level accounting and tax management. You are fully qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) and have a deep understanding of international financial frameworks. You thrive on the nuances of tax law and the intricacies of global compliance, navigating complex dynamics with professional poise.
  • The Systems Architect: You are tech-savvy and forward-thinking. Experience with Workday and OneStream is highly welcomed, as you will be leveraging these tools to maintain our financial pace. You have the analytical literacy to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
