Hosting over 100 races in iconic cities globally and backed by top manufacturers like Porsche and Jaguar, we feature elite drivers and cutting‐edge EV technology. As the world's first sport certified Net Zero Carbon from inception, Formula E combines thrilling entertainment with a mission to advance sustainable progress, inspiring a global fanbase with our high‐performance brand new GEN3 EVO race car capable of 0‐60mph in 1.82 seconds (0‐100kph in 1.86s). Using the spectacle of sport, we are sending a powerful and meaningful message to help alter perceptions and speed‐up the switch to electric mobility.

The Role: This is a 6‐month FTC role. Are you a proactive project management expert with the agility to navigate the complex lifecycle of global sporting events? We are looking for an Event Project Manager to support the planning and delivery of Formula E's world‐class championship calendar. This is a high‐impact, "right‐hand" role designed for a fixer who thrives in the heart of the action. Reporting to a Senior Event Project Manager, you will act as the central point of coordination for well‐established events in repeat markets. You will be the conduit that pulls together internal departments and local stakeholders, ensuring that from the planning phase to the final "de‐rig," every event is delivered safely, successfully and to the rigorous specifications of Formula E.

  • Event Lifecycle Integration: You will support the Senior Event Project Manager through the execution and closing phases of the event. You'll act as the central information source and "fixer," steering cross‐departmental planning processes and acting as a filter for race‐specific enquiries.
  • Strategic Coordination & PMO: You will hold the master timeline. By implementing event‐specific project management tools and monitoring delivery deadlines, you will challenge internal processes to drive efficiency. You will act as a PMO function for internal departments, championing the usage of Google and other management software.
  • Stakeholder & Local Relationship Management: You are the face of the event locally. Alongside the Host City Director, you will build effective relationships with local authorities, venues and businesses. You'll oversee the "compliance" aspect of the race, gathering permits and licenses while ensuring all event requirements for teams, guests and fans are seamlessly incorporated.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance: You take ownership of the details. You will manage owned budget lines, support Health & Safety risk assessments and work hand‐in‐hand with the Track & Overlay team on venue design. You will also ensure consistent compliance with ISO certificates, working closely with Sustainability and Legal teams to meet our world‐leading commitments.
  • Team Mentorship: You are a builder of talent. You will guide and support Event Project Coordinators in both the office and on‐site, overseeing the production of centralised planning documentation and race‐specific scheduling.

What we're looking for in you:

  • The Proven Event Professional: You possess hands‐on experience in managing temporary events, preferably across international markets. You have a clear appreciation for the dynamics of high‐stakes sports event organisations and the intellectual capability to handle complex data, reporting and budgeting.
  • The Diplomatic Liaison: You are a clear and effective communicator with outstanding relationship‐building skills. You have the "emotional dexterity" to manage a diverse ecosystem of global partners, local teams and internal colleagues, acting as an ambassador who reflects Formula E's premium values.
  • The Agile Problem Solver: You thrive in pressured environments and can work autonomously to resolve issues as they inevitably arise. You bring a pragmatic, lateral‐thinking approach to operational challenges, from traffic management to paddock beautification.
  • The Technical Power User: You are a master of the tools of the trade. You have a working knowledge of Google tools and program management software and can recognise exactly where tactical and operational activities need your input.
  • The Global Voyager: You are a proactive self‐starter ready to take this show on the road. With a willingness to travel for sustained periods, often at short notice. You are comfortable operating across diverse cultures and international regulatory frameworks.

Please note, this position involves a background check via our integrated platform, Veremark, as a standard requirement of the role.

What's in it for you? 25 days' annual leave, Birthday day off and Wellbeing leave. Opportunity to extend your stay if travelling for a race event. Health Cash Plan and access to the Aviva Digital Workplace app. Enhanced Parental Leave. Flexible Bank Holidays. Paid volunteer and carer’s leave. Cycle to Work and Electric Car Scheme. Formula E store discount. Regular social events and employee working groups. This is a hybrid role and you’ll be required to do 3 days a week in our Hammersmith London office.

Application Process: Think you’ve got what it takes to join our race to the future? The closing date for this role is 27th March, however if we receive a high volume of applications we may close it early. At Formula E, we are building a culture where every voice matters, every perspective accelerates progress, and every individual is empowered to rise, contribute boldly, and shape a better world — together. We will provide equal opportunities regardless of an individuals' protected characteristics. We believe in attracting and retaining diverse talent to strengthen our global vision with a variety of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives. Our mission is clear. The message is simple. Whoever you are. However you live. Whatever you believe. Formula E. For the Future. For Everyone. We’ll see you at the starting line!
