The Abatec Group is a multi-award-winning recruitment business based in Weston-super-Mare. For over 37 years, we partner with regional and national organisations to help them secure exceptional talent.
As part of our continued growth, we are now looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our Business Support division, working closely with our sister company St David Recruitment, supporting clients across South Wales. Ideally to be based from our HQ in Weston, however, if you are South Wales based, we are happy to offer a hybrid working arrangement.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in delivering a high-quality recruitment service, helping our clients attract and appoint talent that adds genuine value to their business—both in capability and cultural fit. We support our customers with a range of recruitment models, which include temporary, permanent and fixed term, supplying local candidates across the finance, legal, HR, office support, and administration sectors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing and engaging high-quality candidates through job boards, CV databases, and networking
- Advertising vacancies across multiple platforms
- Pre-screening, qualifying, and interviewing candidates
- Working closely with a senior consultant to successfully place candidates into permanent roles
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is people-focused, organised, and keen to develop a career in recruitment. You’ll bring:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clear, confident communication and strong organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- £25,000 – £30,000 basic salary, expected earnings £50,000 +
