Abatec is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business producing high-quality components for commercial and industrial applications. The company operates in a fast-paced, precision-led environment with a strong focus on quality and safety.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous CNC, machining, engineering or manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills within a stable and growing business. Experience with CNC machinery and Heidenhain controls would be advantageous; however, additional training will be provided.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday / Rotating shifts: 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Pay & Benefits:
- from £14.20 per hour basic rate + £0.50 per hour attendance bonus
- Equivalent basic salary from £28,666 per annum

Duties:
- Set and operate CNC machinery
- Read engineering drawings and work to required tolerances
- Carry out machine set-ups and component changeovers
- Complete quality and dimensional checks
- Monitor machines, tooling and production quality
- Work to production plans and daily targets
- Report faults, breakdowns and downtime
- Complete required production paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures
About You:
- Previous CNC, machining, engineering or manufacturing experience
- Mechanical knowledge and confidence using hand tools
- Ability to read technical or engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work accurately to procedures and tolerances
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable attendance and good timekeeping
- Willingness to learn and undertake further CNC training
- Experience with Heidenhain controls would be advantageous
