Abatec is recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a growing and dynamic project delivery team working across Somerset and North Somerset. This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver a diverse portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on civil engineering and steel frame structures. You will play a key role in managing projects from early-stage planning through to construction and completion, ensuring technical excellence, programme adherence, and commercial success.
As Senior Engineer you will:
- Lead the engineering delivery of projects involving civil works, infrastructure, and steel frame structures
- Oversee site engineering activities, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with design specifications
- Coordinate design development, temporary works, and buildability input
- Manage subcontractors, site teams, and engineering resources
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
Our client requires a Senior Engineer with:
- Degree/HNC/ONC in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience within civil engineering and construction projects
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Salary/Benefits:
- £65,000 - £80,000 Depending on experience
- Car allowance
