Abatec is assisting their client, a global, tier-one contractor with the recruitment of an Engineering Manager to provide senior technical leadership across a portfolio of UK projects, supporting both work-winning activities and successful delivery of live schemes. The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the management of the engineering function within the assigned sector or region, ensuring projects meet contractual requirements while achieving the highest standards.
As Engineering Manager you will:
- Lead and manage the engineering function within the allocated sector or projects.
- Provide engineering assurance across design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Support work-winning activities by providing technical input into bids, tenders, and pre-qualification submissions.
- Line manage Design Managers and oversee engineering teams across projects.
- Act as a senior technical interface with clients, consultants, regulators, and supply chain partners.
Our client requires an Engineering Manager with:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent, approved by the Head of Technical Services.
- Substantial experience in both design and construction environments.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of Principal Designer duties.
Salary and benefits include:
- Β£85,000 - Β£110,000
