Abatec is seeking a Land Surveyor to join their client, a well-established civil engineering and construction company, that is expanding its already growing land, earthworks and remediation arm of the business.

The focus is on large-scale landform, volumetrics, and material movement in dynamic, operational environments.

You will play a critical role in providing accurate land data, analysis, and reporting to support operational and commercial decision-making across active and restored sites.

As Land Surveyor, you will

  • Carrying out topographical and volumetric surveys across quarries, earthworks, and restoration sites.
  • Calculating stockpile volumes, cut & fill models, and material balances.
  • Supporting site development, restoration, and remediation planning.
  • Producing and managing survey data, digital terrain models, and reports.
  • Using GPS, total stations, drones, and associated software to capture and process data
  • Monitoring site progression, levels, and compliance with design profiles
  • Working closely with site managers, planners, and environmental teams

Our client requires a Land Surveyor with

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering
  • Previous experience as a Land Surveyor on civil engineering or construction projects
  • Experience with survey equipment & relevant software (GPS, total station, drone-based surveys, LSS, Auto CAD, Trimble, Leica, or similar)
  • Ability to interpret and present data clearly to operational teams
  • Full UK driving licence & eligibility to work in the UK
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to health and safety practices

Salary/Benefits

  • £60,000 – £70,000
  • Car allowance / company vehicle
