Abatec are currently partnered with one of the largest and most recognised Earthmoving Contractors in the UK, who have a secure order book of work including the groundworks package on a £4b Major Project in Somerset and working as a subcontractor to a Tier 1 Contractor on a £40m new build sub station scheme in Bridgwater. Other Groundworks/Earthworks schemes in Avonmouth and surrounding area.
The successful individual will have experience working on civil engineering projects with an emphasis on groundworks and earthworks.
As a Site Manager/Project Manager you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day site activities, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.
- Support and drive continuous improvement within the project delivery team.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Work closely with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
- Monitor project progress, managing budgets and schedules effectively.
- Identify and mitigate risks to avoid project delays and cost overruns.
- Lead site teams and foster a positive, safety-focused working environment.
Our client requires a Site Manager/Project Manager with:
- Valid CSCS Gold or above
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CAT & Genny
- A good understanding of health & safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills
- A background in civil engineering
Salary and benefits include:
- £55,000 - £65,000 per annum DOE
