An opportunity to work on a major, high-profile project in Somerset. Our contractor, who is synonymous with delivering earthworks and infrastructure projects across the South West is looking for a freelance Site Engineer with experience in these fields. The successful candidate will have previous experience working with GPS Machine Control and Quality Assurance (QA), as well as an extensive background working in Civil Engineering. As Site Engineer you will: · Have experience in Civil Engineering schemes. · Provide levelling and surveying across the site, checking drawings and quantities and ensuring the accuracy of calculations. · Have experience with GPS machine guidance/control and QA. · Issue permits and method statements. Our client requires a Site Engineer with: · Valid CSCS and experience of GPS Machine Control. · A good understanding of Trimble. · Excellent communication skills. · HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering. · Understanding of earthworks and land surveying.
