Abatec is recruiting an experienced Site Agent to oversee the successful delivery of schemes across South West Water.

This is a pivotal role for a confident and motivated leader who thrives on driving results, building strong site teams, and delivering technically challenging projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

As Site Agent, you’ll take full responsibility for the on-site management of water and civil engineering projects from contract award through to handover. You’ll coordinate people, programmes and performance to achieve quality, cost and time objectives while upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental management.

As a Site Agent you will:

  • Plan, monitor and report progress, ensuring works remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage resources and subcontractors effectively, resolving challenges before they impact delivery.
  • Champion safety, quality and compliance across all site activities.
  • Maintain close communication with clients and stakeholders, building trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Support the development of junior engineers and supervisors, helping shape the next generation of talent.

Our client requires a Site Agent with:

  • A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certificates.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex infrastructure or water projects for a main contractor.
  • Chartered or working toward professional membership (desirable).

Salary and benefits include:

  • £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
