A great new opportunity to join a national civil engineering main contractor has arisen. My client is looking for a freelance, Senior Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the day-to-day commercial management of major projects with a value of more than £10 million. Working in a regulated environment, my client has secured work until 2028 at least.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:
- Have understanding of change management
- Have experience of applications and CVR’s.
- Prepare forecasts/reports; cost, profit/loss, value etc.
- Manage subcontract enquiries and prepare contracts.
- Be responsible for minimising cost and maximising value, ensuring controls are in place to manage and monitor the operating cost base.
Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Experience of working for a tier one Civil Engineering contractor, ideally within the Water sector.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of commercially delivering multi-million-pound schemes.
- A good knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.
