Abatec is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor on a Utilities Framework project in Dorset on a freelance basis. This role requires a strong background in NEC contracts, with responsibility for subcontractor management, applications, and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate cost records, ensuring effective cost control and value reconciliation
- Report variances against performance, compliance, and financial targets
- Review existing procedures and support the implementation of improved processes
- Manage and agree final accounts
- Oversee subcontractor accounts, applications, and payments
Requirements
- Proven experience working for a Civil Engineering contractor
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with NEC forms of contract
- Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
- Ability to manage multiple commercial aspects of a project independently
