Abatec are currently recruiting for a General Foreman, to join our client, a leading Civil Engineering Contractor, to work on AMP8 of the Southern Water Framework, which will deliver upgrades to water and wastewater assets, including treatment sites, pumping stations and reservoirs, during Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8) and beyond. The successful candidate will be working at a water supply works in Southampton which will be responsible for refurbishing and making improvements to abstraction points from the River Test, pumping stations and flow and filtration assets. The work will also include upgrading the rapid gravity filtration facilities and repurposing contact reservoir tanks at the site.
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and supervising a section of work on a major project or taking full site responsibility on smaller projects. You will ensure that HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental), programme, and budget requirements are consistently met while maintaining the highest standards of site management.
