Abatec is recruiting for a freelance Site Engineer to join one of South West’s biggest Civil Engineering projects. This is an opportunity to join an award-winning tier-one contractor that has secured an exciting, challenging, and ongoing project in Plymouth, Devon. The successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar position on major projects.
As Site Engineer you will:
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in setting out on civil engineering schemes.
- Use a robotic total station to provide levelling and survey the site.
- Check drawings and quantities, ensuring the accuracy of calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built drawings’.
- Comply with the site-specific health and safety protocols to ensure any health and safety concerns are identified and reported as necessary.
Our client requires a Site Engineer with:
- Experience with Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical, and digital levels).
- Valid CSCS and experience of robotic total stations.
- Due to the nature of the scheme the successful engineer will be required to undergo SC clearance.
- A good understanding of construction health & safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in Groundworks, Earthworks, and RC works.
- Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable.
Salary/Benefits:
- £400 - £450 per day PAYE Umbrella.
