Drive the front end of our clients' projects by producing sharp mechanical and/or electrical estimates, working closely with designers, PMs, clients and suppliers. As Estimator, you’ll shape cost and design decisions, lead subcontractor negotiations, support value engineering, and guide commercial processes. Along the way, you’ll build strong relationships across the business and help develop the next generation of talent.
As Mechanical and/or Electrical Estimator you will:
- Produce accurate and detailed M&E estimates using tender documents, drawings and technical specifications
- Work closely with designers, project managers, clients and suppliers to gather and verify all project information
- Advise stakeholders on cost, design options and construction methodologies to support well-informed decision-making
- Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the most competitive pricing
- Contribute technical expertise to enhance design efficiency and drive value engineering opportunities
- Support the Commercial team with variations, applications and final account activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners throughout the estimating process
- Mentor and guide junior team members to help grow capability and technical knowledge within the team
- Have a Mechanical or Electrical qualification and installation/project delivery experience
- Have experience in the construction of Utilities/Water, Process Engineering, Oil & Gas, Anaerobic Digestion or Food Manufacturing plants
Location: You have the option to be based in either Nailsea or Bridgwater.
Hybrid working: Our client offers flexibility with remote working (1-2 days a week).
Salary band: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending on experience).
Benefits package: 25 days annual leave (exc. bank holidays), up to 5% annual bonus, employer contribution pension, healthcare plan, life assurance plus more.
