This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a highly regarded contractor specialising in the Water sector. Through a recently commenced framework, my client has security of work until 2030 at least, so this opportunity can offer job stability and career growth and progression. Reporting to a project based Senior Quantity Surveyor, the successful post-holder will support the delivery of a £85m project in Dorset.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in preparing accurate and timely cost forecasts
- Contributing to maintaining profitability while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards
- Managing subcontract enquiries and preparing contracts
- Minimising cost and maximising value, ensuring controls are in place to manage and monitor the operating cost base
- Assisting with Risk and Value Management to optimise solutions and regularly reviewing with the project team
Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor with:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
- Experience of working for a tier one Civil Engineering contractor
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of commercially delivering multi-million-pound schemes
- A good knowledge of NEC suite of contracts
Salary and benefits include:
- £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
- Car/car allowance
- 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)
- Option to buy a further 5 days annual leave
- Benefits package including Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Pension Scheme etc.
