A great new opportunity to join a Water sector specialist who has recently been awarded tier–one framework status with South West Water. My client, a national contractor with a company turnover of c 200 million, requires a Mechanical Design Engineer to be involved in Turnkey clean water projects with values from 20 million to over 100 million.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a team providing engineering design services to minimise our clients' risks and maximise their profits. You will coordinate the design and produce design drawings and documents taking into account specifications, standards and health & safety requirements.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will:
- Be responsible for producing cost–effective design layouts to meet specification requirements and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
- Ensure that designs take into account all environmental and health & safety requirements.
- Write, monitor and review procedures and processes, ensuring continued development of the department.
- Coordinate designs with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
Our client requires a Mechanical Design Engineer with:
- HND/Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience of producing designs of process plant systems, ideally within the Water sector.
- The ability to rationalise designs and produce cost–effective plant layouts.
Salary/Benefits: 40,000 – 50,000 per annum, hybrid working, attractive benefits package including Life Assurance, Pension, option to purchase additional annual leave.
