Join a key delivery contractor on the £4.2bn Welsh Water framework and be part of a company that focuses on upgrading water supply systems and improving essential network resilience. Due to continued growth and an increased spend in the Water sector, our client is keen to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their driven commercial team. For over 40 years, our client has delivered projects like new pipelines and network maintenance, as well as the construction and upgrades of pumping stations and treatment facilities across South Wales. Their approach emphasises collaboration and early contractor involvement to ensure reliable water distribution.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Have experience of applications and CVR’s.
- Prepare forecasts / reports; cost, profit / loss, value etc.
- Manage subcontract enquiries and prepare contracts.
- Be responsible for minimising cost and maximising value, ensuring controls are in place to manage and monitor the operating cost base.
- Assist with Risk and Value Management to optimise solution and regularly review with the project team.
- Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Have experience working for a Civil Engineering contractor.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be experienced with commercially delivering multi-million-pound schemes.
- Have a good knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.
Locations: You will be based in our clients’ offices near Llantrisant and will be required to occasionally attend site meetings.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:30
Salary band: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum
Benefits package: £4,500 Car allowance, 25 days annual leave (exc. bank holidays), company pension, great career prospects, plus more.
