Civil Engineer Abatec is recruiting a Civil Engineer to support construction and infrastructure projects within a highly regulated engineering environment. The role covers nuclear and non-nuclear assets, including refurbishments, new developments and listed buildings. Working with the project and design teams, you will help scope, develop and deliver infrastructure modifications to meet operational requirements, safety standards and compliance obligations. Key Responsibilities * Provide civil engineering advice and technical support throughout the RIBA design and delivery process. * Produce and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Arrange site and ground investigations, undertake condition surveys and prepare reports and remediation strategies. * Support alterations to existing structures, including listed buildings, small new structures and temporary support designs. * Liaise with project stakeholders, design teams and statutory authorities. About You * Relevant civil engineering experience within a highly regulated industry. * Experience delivering projects through RIBA stages 3 to 5. * Strong knowledge of Revit or similar BIM software, with experience of BIM Level 2 project delivery. * Confidence producing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, with clear communication skills and a flexible approach to changing requirements. * Sole UK nationality and eligibility for security clearance. Desirable Experience * A degree in a relevant discipline. * Experience in nuclear, marine or defence environments, particularly asset lifecycle support, and knowledge of RIBA stages 0 to 2. * Experience with common data environments, environmental compliance and commercial or industrial projects.
