An experienced Site Manager / Agent is required to lead the delivery of a Β£20m anaerobic digestion and biomethane facility in Devon. This is a major process-led infrastructure scheme combining heavy civils, M&E installation and commissioning works.
The programme spans 12β18 months, offering strong continuity on a technically interesting renewable energy project. Reporting into the Project Manager and working closely with senior construction and engineering leadership, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality standards β while maintaining exemplary safety performance.
The Project Scope includes:
- New roads and drainage
- Concrete storage clamps and attenuation tanks
- Structural concrete works
- Utility diversions
- Mechanical & electrical installation of large material handling and processing equipment
- Pipework, valves, motors and electrical infrastructure
- Commissioning and handover
A genuinely multi-discipline scheme requiring strong coordination across civils, process and M&E packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 duties and appropriate site resourcing
- Manage permits, notifications and discharge of planning conditions
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams and specialist subcontractors
- Maintain control of programme and budget (reporting into the PM)
- Chair and attend progress meetings
- Drive collaborative planning and best practice across the supply chain
- Oversee HSEQ performance and maintain high safety standards
- Manage procurement of plant and materials
- Proactively manage risks and resolve issues
- Oversee QA documentation including ITPs, check sheets, FAT documentation and O&M manuals
- Compile as-built records and support project close-out
About You:
- Strong background in Civil or Process Engineering
- Experience delivering multi-million-pound schemes within: Anaerobic Digestion, Water / Wastewater, Energy from Waste, Other process-led industrial environments
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 5β20
- Strong H&S track record
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, growing organisation
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management qualification
- SMSTS
- CSCS Managers Card
- Temporary Works knowledge
- Ideally First Aid qualified
- Experience with NEC contracts
- Competent in MS Project and collaborative planning tools
