Location: Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 days from home

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

St David Recruitment are looking to recruit a proactive and organised Administration Assistant on behalf of our client within the education sector. Our client has a number of high-value tenders underway and are looking for someone who can provide reliable administrative support across the tender process. This is a varied role that would suit someone who is organised, confident using a computer and able to work independently. You don't need previous experience of working with tender systems, as full training will be provided. But you will be someone with a positive attitude, good attention to detail and the ability to pick things up quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Downloading and organising tender documentation
  • Assisting with the preparation and administration of tender submissions
  • Monitoring tender documents and deadlines
  • Helping to respond to questions and requests for information
  • Communicating with suppliers and other external contacts
  • Updating and maintaining information using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Carrying out general administrative duties to support the team
  • Using our tender management system, with full training provided
  • Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and methodical, with good attention to detail
  • A confident self-starter who can work independently
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel at a basic level
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, suppliers and other contacts
  • Reliable and able to manage their workload and deadlines
  • Keen to learn new systems and processes
  • Positive, practical and willing to get involved

Previous administration experience essential. Full training will be provided on our tender system and processes.
