Abatec Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Agent with a strong background in clean water infrastructure projects to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major water projects across Bournemouth and the South Coast. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team working on long-term AMP water frameworks involving clean water mains, pumping stations, reservoirs, and associated civil engineering works.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of clean water projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations on clean water projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, plant, and materials
- Produce and review RAMS, permits, and site documentation
- Monitor programme delivery and project performance
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders
- Deliver toolbox talks and site briefings
- Support commercial and reporting requirements
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Agent within the UK water sector
- Strong clean water experience essential
- Background in utilities, pipelines, or civil engineering infrastructure
- SMSTS Certification
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work preferred
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
Whats on Offer:
£375 - £425 per day LTD (Outside IR35)
