About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team within the Highways Division on a temporary 4-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong accounts payable and payroll experience to support a busy finance function. Working as part of a collaborative team of five finance professionals, you will assist with a range of accounting activities and provide general finance support across the department.

- Assisting with payroll preparation, reconciliation, and checking.
- Preparing and posting accounting journals.
- Posting accruals and supporting month-end activities.
- Assisting with stock counts and inventory-related financial processes.
